Waterloo enters this weekend after a rough start to their season, opening with a 1-5 record. Last season saw Laurentian over power the Warriors by a final score of 83-69. The Warriors have a well rounded team this year as four players have over 40 points while Laura Becotte leads the team in rebounds with 44.

The Laurier Golden Hawks enter this weekend with a 1-5 record as they have also started the season on the wrong foot. The Lady Vees managed to edge the Golden Hawks last season in overtime, as Laurentian escaped with an 81-74 victory. The Lady Vees will have to keep an eye on Renata Adamczyk, who leads Laurier with a 14.2 point per game average, while Megan Grant will look to dominate the paint with her 47 rebounds.

The Lady Vees will look to extend upon their 4-3 record and three game winning streak as they head to Waterloo this weekend. Darrah Bumstead of New Hamburg, Ontario will need to continue her strong play in the paint and build on her 62 rebounds, currently seventh in the country. Lisa Furchner of Sudbury, Ontario will be looked to offensively as she is averaging 14.9 points per game.

"Road trips are never easy in the OUA and we need to take advantage of our momentum right now and carry it into the weekend," said head coach Mike Clarke. "Waterloo is a very physical team and will play our team tough. Laurier is struggling right now but they have some key players who can turn it around. We need to keep up our intensity in order to steal two victories this weekend."
