The Niagara IceDogs selected Center Freddie Hamilton
with their first pick (14th overall) in the 2008 OHL
Priority Selection Draft. As captain of the Toronto
Marlboros, Hamilton collected 39 goals and 42
assists for 81 points in 51 games during the 2007-08
season. Even more impressive was Hamilton's ability
to play smart and responsible, emphasized by only 4
penalty minutes during the season.
Already possesing impressive size, Hamilton is
highly regarded for his ability with the puck and
leadership skills. During the past couple seasons,
he has developed into a more complete player with
great awareness to his defensive responsibilities in
all three zones.
