Falcons win against Warriors

The St. Catharines Mountainview Homes Falcons skated into Stoney Creek Saturday evening to face off against the 2nd place overall team. Losing at home Friday night against Thorold, the Falcons were eager to rebound with a win to close the weekend.

Chris Stevenson grabbed an empty-net goal in the third period to complete a hat-trick inside the Valley Park Arena in front of 215 fans.

JT MacDonald and Adam Moroney scored the Falcons other two goals. Riley Sheahan had three assists, while MacDonald, Kevin Floris, Brad Jackson and Stephen Ceccanese also added helpers.

Sean Murray, Adam Montgomery and Riley Steeves scored for the Warriors in a losing effort. Yvon Boulet recorded the win in net for the Falcons, his second win of the season, while Garrett Driscoll took the loss for Stoney Creek.

St. Catharines continues their road trip this Thursday, November 8th, when the Falcons visit the Thorold Blackhawks, also the second time this season. The two teams skated to a 1-1 tie in their first meeting at the Thorold Community Arena. Game time on Thursday is set for 7:30pm.
