The Pittsburgh Pounders of the Continental Professional Hockey League are excited to unveil their team logo. After much thinking and going through many design ideas Chris Schweitzer came up with the winner.

“We feel that this logo is goes along very well with the history and reputation of the Pittsburgh area” says Schweitzer. “The steelworker with his hard hat hammering down with a sledge hammer goes along with the Steel town history”

With the typical Pittsburgh colors of black, gold and white this logo will be a huge hit to the fans of Pittsburgh. The Pounders will be sure to sell a lot of merchandise with this logo on it to the fans of Pittsburgh.

“We are very excited about this logo design that Chris came up with” says Mark Cerini, Pounders President. “It represents the city of Pittsburgh very well with the steel worker. We are ecstatic about the merchandising possibilities as well.”

The Pounders open up their season on the road November 13 in St. Catharines and have their home opener on Saturday, November 19 against Philadelphia.
